When can I walk my Dog or Cat on the Ocean City Boardwalk or Beach:
Animals are not allowed on the beach or boardwalk at any time between May 1st and Sept. 30th.
Pets on a leash are allowed on the Assateague National Park beach year round, however, they are not allowed on the Assateague State Park Beaches.
Is there a leash law in Ocean City?
Dogs must be kept on a leash when walking in Ocean City at all times.

the “Do It Yourself Dog Wash” ?
No need to bring anything from home. We provide all you need, including an apron to help keep you dry!
Are your tubs raised for people with bad backs?
The wash tub is raised so no need to bend over and break your back. There is also a tray for small dogs so you can wash them at a comfortable height.
Can I special order specific dog or cat foods?
Cat & Canine Comforts only sells high quality foods and treats. If you can find it in a grocery or box store, you will not find it here. If you are looking for a specific food that relates to what we carry, we will do our best to get it for you.
Do you recommend any vets in the area?
I can tell you there are many good and qualified vets in the area, however, you need to select a vet that is best for your pet. You may want to schedule a consult to ask questions and see how your pet feels and acts before actually having services performed. Are sand flees harmful to dogs?
Most dogs are only bothered by sand fleas, but some can be allergic. If using a flea repellant, chances are better that your dog will be protected. Most important …if you feel your dog has been in contact with sand fleas, it is best to consult your vet.
Can I drop off my dog and have you wash him for me?
Sorry, but no. It is a Do-It-Yourself dog wash. But we do supply you with all you need to wash your dog.
Are you a groomer or have a groomer service?
We are not a groomer, but we have a list of reputable groomers available at the store if you are looking.
Can we bring our pet with us when we shop?
Absolutely. Pets are welcome, but we ask that they be on a leash and under control while in the store.
